The editors of Natiosuriname.sr will do a step by step follow up on Natio U-17 on their way to the end tournament of the CONCACAF Gold Cup in Panama (april 21st – may 7th 2017). The best 4 teams of the CONCACAF end tournament will qualify for the FIFA World Cup U-17 2017 in India.

In the section ‘Natio U-17 goes Panama’ attention will be paid to the preparation of Natio U-17 by means of interviews, news coverages and other means of media coverages. During the end tournament, we will report on the matches of Natio U-17.

With the manager of Natio U-17, Rogillo Kolf, we look back at the game against Cuba

CONCACAF Gold Cup in Panama
1) How did you experience the match?

‘I think that, despite the extreme heat, a good game was played and it was played at a high pace.’

2) What did you think of Cuba?

‘This was a lesser Cuba we have seen, we have seen them on Trinidad and we have to say that they left a better impression on us there.’

3)Are you satisfied with the results?

‘We have created better scoring opportunities than Cuba but by the way the score went, we have kept a good feeling about this match.’

4)Costa Rica won 2-1 from Canada. What do you expect from the match against Costa Rica?

‘Costa Rica is a better opponent and is tactically better than Cuba. We must defend with great discipline against Costa Rica and place counter attacks with our fast boys.’

5) How do you rate the odds for Suriname for this tournament?

‘It will not be easy to go through to the last four but we will fight like lions to get as far as possible, you can bet on that.’
